Join us in celebrating the diversity of our vibrant Columbus community! As a non-profit that works with refugees, immigrants, and global professionals, US Together is excited to host a socially distant, outdoor fundraising event to highlight Columbus’ multiculturalism and international cuisine.

We will join together to celebrate our New American neighbors at the South Drive-In Movie Theater on August 26th at 8:00 pm.

The event will feature a drive-in movie centered on the refugee experience. Dinner will be provided by Dos Hermanos, which serves authentic Mexican dishes. Complimentary dinner will be provided.

We will share an original short film, produced by US Together highlighting the stories of migrant women in Columbus. Norah Bagirinka, Co-Founder and Program Director of Refugee Women in Action, is a former asylum-seeker from Rwanda. Tatiana Kats, Founder and Artistic Director of the Columbus International Children's Choir is an immigrant from Russia. Dr. Rosaire Ifedi, Associate Professor at Ashland University and 2021 New American Champion Awardee, is an immigrant from Nigeria.

Following our short film, we will watch The Good Lie (2014), a feature-film which follows the lives of several South Sudanese refugees as they are resettled in the United States. While the characters are fictional, the story is not. This film is rated PG-13.

All funds raised will directly benefit US Together’s comprehensive integration programs. Food and drinks will be provided. RSVP today as space is limited!
